It was early evening on January 30th 2010. I had been at the Braco gazing session that day and it was time to head home. Our winter here on the Kona side of the Big island of Hawaii has been dry, very dry. no raid for over 30 days. I only have a motorcycle at this time so in some ways it has been a blessing, not so much for the farms but for me to get around.
5:30pm the sky is gray and dark. I know this look but what can I do, try to beat the rain home. I get suited up, hope on my bike and begin. Dang, slow cars. I get past them. I flying up to hill and its starting to sprinkle. Its Hawaiian champagne rain, that's fine. I like it. Kealakeku, its raining now. the pant legs are wet and my shoes are filling with water, i wipe my helmet face shield with my glove so as to see, it was covered with rain drops.
To top of Napo'o po'o road, its pouring. It's really pouring. buckets, inches of water on the road, tree particles falling, headlights wash my face shield and I can only see glare. Now I'm really wet. My jacket is soaked all the way through, my shoes a officially flooded, I am wet. I reach my driveway and turn up. its a river of rock mud, leaves and what ever else is washing down the hill. sliding and bouncing all the way up I arrive at the house and park under the awning. I'm way to wet to go in the house so I stip all my close off and run naked in the rain to to get to the main house. I give thanks for Hawaii rains, they can be cold but nothing like Northern California.
I am so ready to receive a new car so I can continue to provided my gifts to the world in a safe dry environment. Unto that, this is my prayer to Creator.
Dear beloved creator of all that is, it is time. I wish to continue in your service and provided the gifts that you have given me to the world. in these times and in this place, a toyota fj cruiser or better is requested and required to continue to deliver they gifts to the people. Weather it be in the form of money/cash direct to purchase this car and provided for its upkeep or as a gift from an angel, I am open and oh so ready to receive.
I give thanks for the resources that you have provided so that I may continue to serve.
