Jas Marlin, Singer Songwriter

Born a suburban white middle class American in the mid 20th century, Jas' musical talents were immediately observed, demonstrated by his commitment and proficiency with the rattle. At age 2 he began his formal training on the Accordion and by age 5 he was playing at concert recitals, festivals and competitive events. At age 9 Jas took up the guitar and began his life long adventure as a singer and songwriter. Over the years Jas has continued to learn new musical instruments including didgeridoo, keyboard and percussion.  he is still working on the bag pipes.

In the Early 80's jas embarked on a journey into the fractal kingdom of sound and music investing 9 years of intense study and creation with fractal math and music. During this time he establish a successful practice in the healing arts and began using sound as a healing tool.

 In the 90's Jas moved to Mendocino California where along with noted musicians Johny "Qwest", Steve Crowningshield, Peter Temple, Lynn Stoller, and others they developed the formulas for world fusion improvisation which eventually birthed the Bhakti Tribe World Music Ensemble. Out of this journey the Bhakti Tribe World Music Federation was founded.

Currently Jas is living on the Big Island of Hawaii. He continues his mission of the Bhakti Tribe, performs with the Kona Celtic Connection, playes for the South Kona Dances of Universal Peace and is a dance leader, President of the Kona Toastmasters, and is writing book one of the Ascended 12 Steps for Adult Children of Angelic Beings.
